King of Pentacles

A king robed in grapevines sits on a bull-carved throne, one hand resting on a great pentacle, the other holding a scepter. His castle rises behind him and the foot of his armor shows beneath the abundance — he built this in armor.

★ Upright

The King of Pentacles is material mastery at rest — the proven builder, the steady provider, wealth grown to the point where it shelters others. Upright, he favors sound investments, dependable leadership, and enjoying prosperity without being owned by it. He often represents a successful mentor or the settled authority your ventures are ripening toward.

♺ Reversed

Reversed, the empire owns the emperor: workaholism, status guarded over substance, generosity swapped for control of the purse. It can also mark bad stewardship — the reliable hand suddenly speculating. Remember the armor under the robe was for building, not for hoarding.
