The Chariot
A crowned warrior stands in a stone chariot drawn by two sphinxes, one black and one white, each pulling slightly its own way. He holds no reins — only a wand — and a canopy of stars stretches over his head as he rides out from a walled city.
★ Upright
The Chariot is victory through will. The opposing forces in the picture do not agree; the driver wins by holding them both to one direction anyway. Upright, it promises success in a struggle — a launch, a competition, a move — provided you keep discipline over the parts of yourself pulling in different directions. Momentum is yours; steer it.
♺ Reversed
Reversed, the sphinxes are winning. Life feels like it is driving you: scattered effort, stalled projects, aggression leaking out sideways, or a loss of direction hidden under busyness. The card advises pulling over before correcting course — control regained at speed usually isn't.
