Eight of Cups

The Eight of Cups is the mature walk-away. Upright, it marks leaving something built and genuinely valuable because it no longer holds meaning — a role, a relationship, a version of success. The stack is tidy; nothing ended in flames. You are simply going to look for the missing cup.

Reversed, the departure is stuck in the doorway: staying out of fear dressed as loyalty, or drifting back to a situation you already outgrew once. It asks the hard question — is this commitment, or just familiarity with better branding?
